speedtasks
A personal project tracker inspired by Trello, simplified around the flow from a project idea to the next task worth doing.
Keep the next task close
Speed Tasks is a personal project tracker built for the way I actually work. I wanted something lighter than a full project-management suite: a place to keep projects visible, break them into tasks, and move forward without losing the thread between an idea and the work it needs.
The product takes some inspiration from Trello, but the intention is narrower. It is a command center for projects and the tasks inside them, with the structure kept simple enough that planning does not become another project to manage.
A tool I could keep shaping
Because the project is personal, the useful details are close to the surface. Projects provide the wider context, while tasks make the next action concrete. That relationship lets the app support both a quick capture and a more deliberate look at what is moving, what is waiting, and what deserves attention next.
The build
Speed Tasks uses Next.js, TypeScript, and Firebase. The public version is available at speedtasks.vercel.app, while the rest of the project remains focused on making the everyday workflow feel fast and unceremonious.
Why it exists
This is the kind of project that grows through use. It is not trying to replace every collaboration tool. It is a small, personal surface for turning scattered work into a sequence of tasks I can actually finish.
